Mirai, starring Teja Sajja and directed by Karthik Ghattamneni, created big buzz with promotions. But did it meet the high expectations? Let’s see!

Mirai Movie Story: After witnessing the horrors of war, Ashoka locked his powers into nine sacred books, entrusted to eight warriors and a yogi. Centuries later, in Kaliyuga, Mahabir Lama (Manchu Manoj) acquires these powers and sets out to eliminate all unworthy humans. The only force capable of stopping him is Mirai. Ved (Teja Sajja) is chosen to find and harness it. The story follows his challenges, battles, and how Vibha (Ritika Nayak) stands by his side in this mission.

Performances: Although Teja Sajja is the hero, Manchu Manoj dominates the screen with strong presence, looks, and body language in action scenes. Teja excels in action and emotional moments, especially the climax, while Shriya Saran shines in her powerful Ambika role. Jayaram adds fun as Agastya Maharshi, and Kishore Tirumala impresses as a comic police officer. Venkatesh Maha and Jagapathi Babu also make memorable appearances, enhancing the film.

Technical Aspects: Gowra Hari’s background score is the film’s biggest strength, adding energy to key moments and saving dull scenes. CGI, especially the Sampaathi bird sequences, looks impressive for a Rs. 60 crore budget, though some AI shots fall short. Editing could be crisper, as the second half lags at times.

Director-cinematographer Karthik Ghattamneni’s setup, staging, and storytelling are excellent, with well-designed action inspired by Hollywood and strong motherly emotions throughout. Learning from his previous film, he avoided unnecessary prose. Overall, Mirai is Karthik’s first hit as a director.

Analysis: Mirai showcases the brilliance of our own epics. Though repeated Ram sequences reduced the climax impact, stylish action in the second half kept the audience engaged, making Karthik Ghattamneni’s direction impressive.

Verdict: Mirai is an engaging, visually impressive film that blends epic storytelling with stylish action. Minor pacing and repetition issues exist, but overall it delivers an entertaining experience.

Bottom Line: Mirai thrills with action and visuals.

Rating: 3.5/5
