Teja Sajja’s Mirai has turned out to be one of the biggest Telugu hits of the year. After Hanuman, this is his second film to cross the Rs. 150 crore mark.
In North America, Mirai collected $3 million, placing Teja Sajja among the few Telugu stars like Prabhas and NTR to score back-to-back $3M hits overseas.
Now running in its fourth week, the film’s collections have slowed down due to new releases like They Call Him OG and Kantara Chapter 1 for Dussehra. Meanwhile, its digital release date has been locked.
On Saturday, Jio Hotstar confirmed that Mirai will start streaming on October 10 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
The film will follow a 28-day theatrical window in the South, while the Hindi version’s OTT date is yet to be announced, as North India follows an 8-week window.
Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, Mirai features Teja Sajja, Manoj, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jayaram, and Jagapathi Babu.
