Jeethu Joseph, known for his thrillers, is back with Mirage starring Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali. With good buzz around it, the question is, did this thriller keep the audience hooked?

Mirage Movie Story: Kiran (Hakeem Shajahan), who planned to marry Abhirami (Aparna Balamurali), suddenly goes missing. When she goes to the police to file a complaint, she is shocked to learn that Kiran died in a train accident.

Before she can recover from the shock, a police officer (Sampath Raj), a rowdy (Saravanan), and a private investigative journalist (Asif Ali) start questioning her about a hard disk. What is inside that hard disk? What really happened to Kiran? And with their help, did Abhirami escape from this danger? The answers form the story of Mirage.

Performances: All the actors performed well, but Aparna Balamurali stood out with her layered role and expressive acting that lifted the story. Asif Ali’s character brought surprises, while the rest supported the plot. Hakeem’s role as Kiran, with its variations, worked effectively.

Technical Aspects: Jeethu Joseph, known for strong screenplays and shocking twists, planned the same for Mirage. But weak staging and routine narration made the twists less impactful, except for the heroine’s climax twist. The pacing felt slow, and overall, Jeethu failed to engage this time. Production felt forced, while cinematography and music were just average.
