Actors Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani got married, and Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput shared one of their evening looks on Instagram.
As members of the “ladkiwaale” (bride’s side), Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput attended the wedding of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani. On Friday, Mira posted a photo of one of the couple’s wedding dresses to Instagram, describing the four-day celebration as “warm, intimate, and incredibly special.” She later uploaded additional images from one of the evening events, in which Shahid was dressed in black and Mira chose an ethnic-inspired attire without jewellery.
In the evening pictures of the pair taken at Suryagarh Palace, where they were getting married, Mira Rajput left the captions off. Shahid Kapoor wore all-black clothing, including a sparkly jacket and matching pants. Mira, meanwhile, donned a sheer jacket over an ethnically printed blouse and leggings.
Vicky Kaushal, an actor, “liked” the pictures, and Raashii Khanna, Shahid’s Farzi co-star, “commented” on the post with the fire emoji. “Breathing” was written by Ronit Roy along with a red heart emoji. Shahid and Mira were described as a “beautiful couple” by one fan, while “Killing it fellas” was written by another with a fire emoji.
Shahid and Kiara were co-stars in the 2019 box office sensation Kabir Singh and stayed close friends afterward. He and his wife Mira attended the haldi and sangeet on Sunday during the wedding celebrations in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The wedding was also attended by the filmmaker Karan Johar, the couple Juhi Chawla and Jai Mehta, and the fashion designer Manish Malhotra. For the wedding ceremony, Sidharth and Kiara donned Manish’s creations.
The newlyweds posted the first wedding video on Friday, in which Kiara is seen approaching Sidharth for the varmala ceremony. As she approached the groom, they played the song Ranjha from their 2001 movie Shershaah. Sidharth sported an ivory sherwani, while Kiara wore a pink lehenga. Both were created by Manish Malhotra, a close friend of theirs.
In Delhi, where Sidharth’s family resides, they hosted a celebration earlier in the week for friends and relatives. On Sunday, February 12, a further reception is scheduled to take place at the St. Regis Hotel in Mumbai. Those who didn’t go to the Rajasthan wedding from the Hindi film business are probably going to the Mumbai celebration.
