During Baahubali 2 promotions, Telugu legendary music composer, MM Keeravani said that he doesn’t want to work anymore and he will retire post release of the film. But he had to go back on his words as his family, mainly director SS Rajamouli, also his younger cousin brother, convinced him to do so. The composer started working on the music of Director Krish’s NTR Kathanayakudu and announced that he would be doing selected films, only. He also remarked that music composing for a film as a “trust based journey” and said that he cannot do it with a person who doesn’t listen to him or with whom he doesn’t feel any comfort.
He did not agree to do many films even after he started working again. From second half of 2018, he started working on RRR and he has to complete composing few more scores for the film. Now, we hear that he might be getting an offer to work with Prabhas again, that too for latest version of Ramayana – Adipurush 3D. Director Om Raut doesn’t want to select two or three composers for this album. Even the producers of the film, T-Series believe that one very experienced composer should be able to do the job, effectively.
They have decide to bury the hatchet and approach AR Rahman, if need arises, even though the composer and their organisation had issues regarding royalty, rights. But they may not have to do so, as we hear Om Raut has asked them to consider MM Kreem, Hindi industry name for Keeravani, for this film. The composer created sensation with his score for Baahubali films and provided his excellence in Indian classical music, he would be the best choice for Adipurush. Now, everything has to fall in place as Om Raut wants things to move quickly but Keeravani has two big films – RRR and #PSPK27 with Krish also to work on.
Already, composer said that he will take up those projects where he doesn’t have to go through extreme pressure and stress. He used to work for 10 films at a time during the peak of his career but he might feel stress to handle RRR, Pawan Kalyan’s historical costume Drama and Mythological Adipurush, at a time, next year. If anyone can manage that is, him. So, will he agree to take up the project, if the team approaches him, as per sources? Or is the team of Adipurush get Ajay-Atul who worked for Om Raut’s Tanhaji for this film also? Let’s wait for the official announcement from the team for answers.
