Merlapaka Gandhi Shares Interesting Details About ‘Korean Kanakaraju’

Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju is an upcoming horror comedy directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. The film blends supernatural elements with fun-filled comedy and has been shot on a grand scale.

Gandhi revealed that the team faced visa issues but still chose to film in real locations. They spent 20 days shooting on an island in South Korea and also filmed very much important scenes in Kazakhstan.

The director praised Varun Tej for playing a much challenging role with two different shades and said he was involved in the script from the beginning without fail.

The film also features a light-hearted romance with Ritika, whose character is obsessed with Korean culture.

Much of the comedy comes from Varun’s character speaking Korean after being possessed. The film features music by Thaman and releases worldwide on August 7th.
