Megastar Chiranjeevi rose to stardom with Khaidi and his brand image has been shaped after a young man being cheated and oppressed, who decides to revolt and becomes Khaidi – a person in jail for committing crimes. Khaidi No.786 and Khaidi No.150 became his big hits to show the strength of the brand.
Megastar wanted his comeback movie to have Khaidi ring to it and hence, Khaidi No.150 became title to his previous film. Now, with a brand that has been associated so much with beloved matinee idol, many would fear to use it
But like Nani who used Gang Leader title for his next, Karthi is using Khaithi for his next. Lokesh Kanagaraj is directing the film. He previously made Nagaram with Sandeep Kishan.
This movie looks like Karthi trying a staple diet of Dhanush and we have to wait and see, how political this movie will be.
