Kollywood star Dhanush scored a superhit with the recently released social drama, Sir. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film had a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil on February 17th. Co-starring Samyuktha Menon as the female lead, the film has Samuthirakani in the antagonist role. GV Prakash Kumar’s soulful music is one of the major highlights of Sir/Vaathi.
Currently, the national award-winning actor has multiple projects in the pipeline. One among them is a period drama under the direction of Arun Matheswaran. Titled, Captain Miller, the film’s shooting is progressing at a fast pace. Now, the latest reports suggest that a large canvas fight sequence involving Dhanush and fifteen hundred fighters is being shot at one of the studios in Chennai. The mega action block also features foreign junior artists as well.
Set in the 1930 time period, Captain Miller is being bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films banner. The film also has Telugu hero Sundeep Kishan in a key role. Co-starring Priyanka Mohan as the female lead, Captain Miller has its music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. On the other hand, Dhanush also has a multilingual project under the direction of Shekar Kammula in the pipeline. Recently reports also came out that Dhanush will be joining forces with Thunivu fame H Vinoth for a project in 2024.
Reports also suggest that Dhanush will be wielding a megaphone for his 50th project. Reportedly, the film will feature Dhanush, SJ Suryah, and Vishnu Vishal in key roles. Sun Pictures banner is on board to bankroll the movie. Complete details will be out soon.
