Varadaraju Mudaliar, a don from Tamil ethnicity in Mumbai became the subject of Nayagan, a classic by Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam in 1987. Even though God Father inspired the duo to make the movie, majorly, they took inspiration from real life character to create such masterpiece.
Now, Mani Ratnam is using the same person’s name for his lead character from his latest movie, Nawab. The movie will be releasing in September as per the Kollywood updates and the looks for all the lead characters will release on each day, it seems.
As the first one of the lot, Aravind Swami’s character look as been revealed and he is called Varada and looks like a complete rough character that he never played in Mani’s films. In the movie, Aditi Rao Hydari, Jyothika, Vijay Sethupathi and Simbu are playing all lead roles and it is said to be an anthology film from Mani Ratnam after Yuva.
