Meenakshi Seshadri appeared as a special guest on a show and contestants Vaidehyi and Pratik performed to a song from Meenakshi’s blockbuster film Hero, leaving the actress emotional.
She recalled that Hero created a record by running for an entire year at Chennai’s Padma Theatre despite Hindi films not being very popular there at the time.
Meenakshi said her family in Chennai was proud of her achievement and credited director Subhash Ghai for the film’s success.
She also revealed that the song was the first one shot for Hero and said she shared great chemistry with Jackie Shroff from the very beginning.
According to her audiences continue to love their iconic on-screen pairing even today.
