The second wave of the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in the delay of the release of several films, including big and small films. This has now turned the situation very tense, with respect to the release of these big-ticket films.
It is already known that the first part of Stylish star Allu Arjun’s upcoming film, Pushpa, is all set to release for Christmas this year. According to the latest reports, two other films, Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 and Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha are also aiming to be released for Christmas this year. While Laal Singh Chaddha may or may not impact Pushpa’s collections, if KGF: Chapter 2 too opts for a Christmas release, then the Christmas release season is going to be a very tense one.
KGF and Pushpa are two of the most anticipated films of the year, in India currently. Both the films have huge expectations on them, and if both the films are released at the same time, then the revenues for both the films would be affected greatly. Given the current circumstances, and the budget of these films, it is not the best idea for the producers of these films to go for a clash, as the producers would have to take on severe losses, something they can’t afford at the current moment.
