Massive backlash against Kareena as Sita

It is already known that Kareena Kapoor has been approached to play the role of Goddess Sita in Madhu Mantena’s adaptation of The Ramayana. It was also said that Superstar Mahesh had been approached to play Lord Ram in the same adaptation. Along with this report came the property hat Kareena had allegedly quoted Rs. 12 Crores to play the role of Goddess Sita.

There’s still no clarity over how genuine this information is, but audiences are already going to extreme lengths against it. #BoycottKareenaKhan is trending on Twitter, with audiences suggesting that Kangana is more fit to portray Goddess Sita, and Kareena Kapoor doesn’t deserve that honour. They are also trolling Kareena for the amount she quoted to play Sita.

Apart from this, there have been many discussion about this film, given that The Ramayana is already being adapted by Om Raut, with Prabhas and Kriti Sanon playing Lord Rama and Goddess Sita, in Adipurush. With this backlash now erupting against Kareena speculatively playing Goddess Sita, it is now to be seen if there would be any official statements released in regards to this. On the whole though, it would definitely be interesting to see Superstar Mahesh play Lord Rama.
