Maruthi is known for staying away from controversies and always speaks carefully in public. He is currently busy with The Raja Saab starring Prabhas which is releasing on January 9th.
The first song came out last night. While expressing his excitement, Maruthi praised Prabhas fans and used the phrase “Collar Raising”. This upset some NTR fans, who misunderstood it and started targeting Maruthi online.
His comment was not intentional, but it led to unnecessary rumours. Maruthi quickly responded and apologised to NTR fans.
He wrote on X saying that “I want to clarify this personally. I sincerely apologise to all fans. I never meant to hurt or disrespect anyone. Sometimes while speaking words come out differently than we intend”.
“I regret that it sounded wrong or like a comparison. I have great respect for NTR garu and his fans. I truly appreciate your love for cinema and your hero. I hope you understand my intention and the situation”.
