Maadhav is making his acting debut with Maremma which is a rural thriller directed by newcomer Mancherla Nagaraj. The film had already created interest with its first look and the makers have now released an intense teaser. Maremma is produced by Mayur Reddy Bandaru under the Moksha Arts banner.
Set in a Telangana village the story revolves around a mysterious disease that kills people and cattle. In fear all the villagers pray to Goddess Maremma for protection.
Trouble begins when the village’s sacred bull suddenly goes missing leading to panic and the revelation of hidden secrets.
Maadhav appears as a strong village hero with raw energy and an authentic dialect. Deepa Balu plays his love interest while Vinod Kumar appears as the village elder.
The film explores faith and fear in a grounded way. The visuals and background music add to the tense mood and the teaser has raised good expectations.
