Days after defending Adipurush, the film’s writer, Manoj Muntashir, apologised in a recent tweet.

Adipurush scandal seems to never end, and since the film’s teaser was made public, Om Raut has been enduring constant criticism from viewers. After the movie with Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan was released in theatres, the crowd couldn’t stand how poorly the Ramayana was portrayed. After defending the film’s dialogue for several days, author Manoj Muntashir ultimately apologised.

Adipurush has received far too many criticisms from viewers, who have pointed out problems with the VFX and CGI effects, the tapori language used for conversation, and scenes that were lifted verbatim from other Hollywood action and superhero movies. Saif played Lankesh, Kriti played Janaki, while Prabhas played Raghava in the film.

Manoj Muntashir had defended the controversy around Adipurush’s discourse during an interview. However, the movie’s author has since rectified the problem and issued a formal public apology. A few hours ago, he said on his Twitter, “I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation.”

Manoj Muntashir previously justified the discussion between Lord Hanuman and the monkey in an interview by noting that it wasn’t a mistake on his part. “A very meticulous thought process that has gone into writing the dialogues for Bajrangbali. We have made it simple because we have to understand one thing (that) if there are multiple characters in a film, all of them can’t speak the language. There has to be a kind of diversion, a division.” Previously, he had also supported the movie by saying, “humne Ramayan nahi banaye hai.”
