Manoj Bajpayee On Why He Enjoys Low Budget Films More

Manoj Bajpayee’s film Governor: The Silent Saviour released in theatres on June 12th and received a decent response. After the film’s success, the actor spoke about why he now prefers small budget and independent films over only mainstream cinema.

In his early career Manoj acted in several big films and played very much strong supporting roles. Later with the rise of OTT platforms he adapted to new age storytelling and impressed many with his projects.

He has also appeared in big films such as Veer-Zaara and Raajneeti. In a recent interview he said independent films give him more excitement and creative freedom without fail.

He added that big-budget films still come his way, but he treats them as relaxed, stress free experiences. For him, acting is about enjoyment and success depends on audience response.

In Governor: The Silent Saviour, he plays an RBI Governor based on real life events during the 1990–91 economic crisis in India.
