The film “Manjummel Boys” is doing extremely well at the box office, particularly in Malayalam and Tamil. In its first week, it made a great impression in Malayalam cinemas, followed by an even better performance in its second weekend, when it expanded its success to Tamil viewers.
During its first extended weekend, the film grossed 36 crores globally. Its momentum continued, by the a second weekend, it had risen to 38 crores internationally, with Tamil Nadu alone accounting for 13 crores. In just 11 days, the film grossed 95 crores worldwide, with Kerala contributing almost 35 crores and outside markets adding 39 crores.
Continuing its winning streak, “Manjummel Boys” has achieved the coveted 100 crore mark at south box office, becoming the fourth Malayalam film to accomplish so, following hits such as “Pulimurugan,” “Lucifer,” and a 2018 release mainly. With its current pace, the picture seemed set to cross the 150 crore mark.
The film’s popularity has inspired plans for a Telugu release on March 15, with the prospect of a Hindi version if the Telugu launch is successful. “Manjummel Boys” is proven to be a box office force to be reckoned with after performing exceptionally well in Tamil and Malayalam areas.
