Director Mani Ratnam has started work on his next film with Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role as of now. Sai Pallavi has been cast as the heroine marking her first collaboration with the filmmaker.
According to the latest few reports the movie shooting will begin tomorrow in Kolkata.
Even before the cameras started rolling Netflix acquired the film digital streaming rights reflecting the strong confidence surrounding the project.
At a time when many medium-budget films are struggling to secure OTT deals this is seen as a major achievement.
The film is jointly produced by Madras Talkies, Lyca Productions and India Talkies with Rahman composing the music.
