Mani Ratnam planning to resume his dream project shoot

Legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam who has delivered evergreen classics in his career so far has started his dream project Ponniyan Selvan earlier this year. He has even wrapped a small portion of the shoot in Thailand and later due to COVID-19, the shoot has been halted. However, Mani Ratnam after a large break is now planning to resume the shoot.

As per the latest reports, Mani Ratnam wants to resume his film shoot from September. The next schedule is supposed to start from Pune. So as per the plan, Mani Ratnam is in talks with his team to get ready for the September shoot.

Currently, there is a huge spike of cases in Maharashtra. However, Mani Ratnam is confident that positive cases will come down by then. Ponniyan Selvan has an ensemble cast and crew. Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Aishwarya Rajesh, Mohan Babu, and Jayam Ravi in crucial roles. AR Rahman will be composing the music. Ponniyan Selvan will release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages.
