Manchu Manoj is known for being different from many other actors in Telugu Cinema. He always wanted to prove himself as an actor better than a star. Even recently, he explained about his decision at his Gunturodu audio release function and asked all of his fans to let him be. He requested them to take him as an actor but not a star. He said he will mix and match as he goes forward but he won’t stick to one specific kind of image as he sees his father as an inspiration for his journey and to carry forward his legacy means being an actor first than a star. From an young age he promised to himself that one day he will become one of those actors across the industries who will be recognized Nationally and if possible Internationally.
He also gave explanation for choreographing his own stunts in movies. He said all in budget restraints that he did it and not because he would love to get hurt and stay in hospital for days. Now he is keeping his promise by doing a movie with Vasu Mantheba who directed Basthi. The movie is said to be very gritty and realistic in its approach. Manoj never tried such kind of a script it seems and there is a lot of talk about his physical transformation for the movie. The movie will go on floors from March it seems and the release is planned for the later half of the year. Rest of the details are yet to be known.
