Manasi Parekh is gearing up for the release of her new Gujarati film Mitrata: Friendship Ni Love Story, which she is producing with her husband Parthiv Gohil.
The film stars Viraj Ghelani, Deep Vaidya, Vishal Parekh and Vishwaa Joshi and releases on September 25th.
Speaking about this film, Manasi said Mitrata is inspired by movies like Dil Chahta Hai, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Andaz Apna Apna.
She said this film focuses on honest friendships in small towns and how they are much different from city friendships.
Manasi also expressed interest in producing a female friendship film, but said she is looking for a fresh and different script. Mitrata is directed by Oneel Karnik and produced by Soul Sutra.
