Malayalam Superstar for Mahesh?

Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, directed by Parasuram, of Geetha Govindam fame. Keerthy Suresh is the leading lady of this film, and the first song from the film, Kalaavathi, was also released recently, composed by SS Thaman. After wrapping up SVP, which is scheduled to release on 12th May, Mahesh would begin shooting for his next film, to be directed by Trivikram Srinivas.

The film marks the third collaboration between Mahesh and Trivikram, after Athadu and Khaleja, and Pooja Hegde is the leading lady of this film. While Thaman is on board as the music director of the film, not much else is known. It is now being said that director Trivikram has approached Malayalam superstar Mohanlal for an important role in the film.

While there’s no information on whether or not the actor has okayed the part, it would be highly interesting to see Mohanlal alongside Mahesh. The last time Mohanlal was seen in a straight Telugu film was in Janatha Garage, opposite NTR, and it is now to be seen if the actor will once again return to Telugu cinema.
