According to sources, Malayalam actor Mamukoya’s condition is stable after being hospitalised after falling during a football match in Malappuram, Kerala, on Monday.

The incredibly well-known actor is reportedly reacting to medication and is being being monitored by a medical staff at a hospital in Kozhikode, according to insiders in the film industry. For those who don’t know, the actor attended the football game as the major guest. Before the start of the match, he passed out, and was taken to the hospital.

Mamukoya, a seasoned comic and well-known actor, began his playing career in theatre in 1979 before moving on to Malayalam films. He has appeared in more than 450 Malayalam films to date, and he was the first recipient of the State Award for Best Comedian in Malayalam Cinema.

Mamukoya’s delivery of the Malabar dialect and his physical stature, which make people laugh uncontrollably, are the highlights of his acting and comedic career.

The 76-year-old actor also starred in the French film Flammens of Paradise and won two Kerala State Film Awards: Best Comedian in 2008 and Special Mention in 2004 for Perumazhakkalam.
