Makers of Prabhas’ Adipurush About the Film’s Release Date

Hero Prabhas’ motion capture mythological drama, Adipurush based on the epic Ramayana was supposed to hit the screens on January 12th release. But after witnessing the poor response for the film’s first look teaser which was unveiled in October, reports came out that the team has again begin rework on the graphics and VFX.

Reportedly, the team is spending more than Rs 100 crore than the estimated budget for the improvization of the graphics work. A couple of months back the makers announced that Adipurush’s release is postponed and will be hitting the screens on July. As per the announcement, the release is pushed to June 16th.

Meanwhile, for the past few weeks news is circulating among film circles is that the film’s release might postpone further. As a confirmation, the makers this evening announced that Adipurush’s release date will be the same as announced earlier on June 16, 2023. An official announcement regarding the same came out with a countdown poster.

Directed by Bollywood filmmaker Om Raut, Adipurush has Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Saif Ali Khan in goddess Sita, Laxmana, and Lankesh roles respectively. Adipurush even marks the Bollywood debut for Prabhas and is being bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar under his T-Series banner.
