Sankranthi 2021 turned out to be eventful, despite all odds. Films like Krack and Red turned out to be good hits for this Sankranthi, and the year started off with a good promise. While the second wave disrupted everything towards the second week of April, Tollywood was going through a good phase until then, after the slump that was caused due to the first wave of coronavirus.
Several films are currently ready for release, but the producers of these films are waiting for the right time to release them, considering theatre occupancy in both the Telugu states and the willingness of audiences to go to theatres. In the meantime, some major films are planning their release for Sankranthi 2022. These films are either half done with their shooting, or just started shooting, which makes Sankaranthi the best release date for them.
Of this list is Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati’s Ayyappanum Koshium remake, and Venkatesh and Varun Tej’s F3. All these three films are carrying good vibes around them, and are being made on a grand scale. Considering that situations won’t turn worse by Sankranthi next year, it is sure going to be one hell of a festival next year.
