Talk: Major hurdle ahead for Nikhil’s Karthikeya 2

Hero Nikhil’s upcoming film, Karthikeya 2 is scheduled for a August 13th release. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film’s trailer which was out a few weeks back has caught the audience attention and raised expectations on the film.

Meanwhile, the latest reports from trade indicate that the film is going to face issue with the theaters allocation in twin Telugu states. Reportedly, as two last week releases, Bimbisara and Sita Ramam are performing well at the box office, the exhibitors are in no mood to replace them with Karthikeya 2.

As Nithiin’s Macherla Niyojikavargam and Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha are also releasing this week across twin Telugu states, the allocation of theatres to Karthikeya 2 is going to be a major headache for the buyers, say sources. What will the makers do at this crucial juncture? Remains to be seen.
