Major Disappointment for Mythri Movie Makers

For the past few days news has been circulating among media circles that the makers of Mythri Movie Makers are trying to approach the Andhra Pradesh government for the ticket hike for their films, Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya which is scheduled for a Sankranthi festival release on January 12th and 13th respectively.

In the morning hours of January 10th, news came out that the AP government has accepted for Rs 45 hike on the existing ticket price for both biggies. Meanwhile, the latest we hear from our sources is that the government has accepted to hike only Rs 25 rupees on the ticket and this hike in price will be the same for the single screens and multiplexes as well. An official GO regarding the same is likely to be out tomorrow.

The hiked ticket price decision comes as a major disappointment for the makers of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy. Will there be any last-minute changes? Needs to be seen.
