Noted Tollywood comedian Ali joined the ruling YSRCP party before the 2019 elections and has been campaigning for the party since then. Earlier reports came out that the YSR Congress party president and the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh has promised Rajyasabha seat to Ali.
As per inside reports, even many film celebrities called and congratulated Ali for soon being elected as a Rajyasabha member. But as a major disappointment to the actor, YS Jagan has not allocated Rajyasabha seat to him. This is not a major jolt for Ali but also for the Muslim community leaders in the party, say political analysts.
On the movie professional front, Ali will be seen in a comic role in soon to release film, F3. Apart from movies, Ali is hosting a couple of television shows.
