Mahesh’s film in major trouble

Prior to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, when things were still normal in the country, and in the world, Superstar Mahesh Babu scored a massive blockbuster in the form of Sarileru Neekevvaru, for Sankranthi 2020, which was directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film was a feast for Mahesh’s fans, who enjoyed watching their favourite actor in one of the best avatars.

This film has now once again become a hot topic, with the Andhra Pradesh government asking the makers of the film to pay Rs. 20 Crores as tax, as there are allegedly discrepancies in the revenue that the makers got, and the tax that they paid to the government.

In recent times, the AP government has been targeting Tollywood, with the online ticket booking announcement that the AP government made, making headlines in the Telugu states. There are a lot of debates going on about the issue, with Megastar Chiranjeevi making a public statement about the issue during Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Love Story pre-release event.
