For Superstar Mahesh Babu’s birthday recently, the improvised digital print of his all time hit, Pokiri, was re-released. The film went on to create a new record at the box office, having collected Rs. 1.73 Crores, which is the highest for any film re-released in India. This has begun an interesting trend in Tollywood, with fans of other actors also demanding the re-release of their favorite actor’s famous films.
It has already been announced that Pawan Kalyan’s Jalsa would be released on September 2nd, on the occasion of the actor’s birthday, much like how Pokiri’s was released. It is now being said that Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Gharana Mogudu will be re-released. Fans are said to have asked for the re-release of Indra first, but since the digital print of the movie is still unavailable, Gharana Mogudu is set to be released.
Gharana Mogudu is now going to be re-released on August 22nd, on the occasion of Chiru’s birthday. It is to be seen how well Gharana Mogudu and Jalsa will do, when compared to Pokiri. It is also to be seen which other films of other actors would be re-released here on.
