According to recent industry reports, Mahesh Babu will be seen as Lord Srikrishna in the upcoming film Devaki Nandana Vasudeva, starring his nephew Ashok Galla.
The movie’s concept revolves around the classic theme of good versus evil. Production is already in progress, and the team plans to officially announce Mahesh’s cameo during Diwali.
Mahesh has previously supported his family members by attending their film events or promoting them on social media, but this marks the first time he is appearing in one of their movies, providing a big boost to the project.
The film, directed by Arjun Jandyala, stars Manasa Varanasi and Devdatta Gajanan Nage in key roles. It is produced by Somineni Balakrishna under the Lalithambika Productions banner, with music by Bheems Ceciroleo.
Cinematographers Prasad Murella and Rasool Ellore, along with dialogue writer Sai Madhav Burra, and story by Prashanth Varma, are all part of the team.
Meanwhile, Rajamouli is currently scouting locations for SSMB29 in African forests.
