Sumanth, who has delivered hits like Satyam, Gowri, Godavari and Malli Raava, is back with the mystery thriller Mahendragiri Varahi. Directed by Santhosh Jagarlapudi, the film also features Siddu Jonnalagadda and Aishwarya Rajesh in key roles.
The trailer created good buzz ahead of its September 11th release. Though the film received mixed talk, it managed decent openings during the Vinayaka Chavithi weekend.

Mahendragiri Varahi collected Rs. 2.45 crore share worldwide in four days. The film needs Rs. 5 crore share to break even, but it is yet to reach half the target. Still, the movie recorded decent openings.
