Mahavatar Narsimha Movie Review & Rating!

Most movies just use our gods and stories as side elements, not the main theme. But Ashwin Kumar took it seriously and planned animated movies on the 9 avatars of Lord Vishnu. The first one is Mahavatar Narsimha. This is a new beginning for Indian animation. Let’s see how much the audience liked it!

Mahavatar Narsimha Movie Story: Hiranyakashipu did great penance and got a boon that he couldn’t be killed. He became arrogant and punished those who prayed to Lord Vishnu.

But his own son Prahlada, was a strong devotee of Vishnu. Hiranyakashipu tried to kill him many times but failed.
Finally, Lord Vishnu appeared as Narasimha and killed Hiranyakashipu, protecting Prahlada and restoring dharma.

Technical Aspects: Mahavatar Narsimha is a decent attempt in Indian animation, though the quality could be better. While global animation uses advanced tech like motion capture, this film relies on basic animation, which may not fully impress today’s audience.

Director Ashwin Kumar’s imagination and effort are praiseworthy, especially the climax action scene, which worked well. If done with better technology, the cinematic experience would have been stronger.

The background score by Sam CS lacked impact, though the sound mixing was decent. AI dubbing ensured good lip sync, and the dubbing artists did a fair job.

Analysis: Films are the best way to teach today’s generation about our history and mythology, as they may not have the patience to read. Mahavatar Narsimha could have had better animation, but Ashwin Kumar’s imagination and climax design give a good cinematic feel. For the best experience, it’s better to watch it on laser projection screens rather than regular ones.

Verdict: A sincere mythological attempt with average animation but strong imagination. Best enjoyed on quality screens. Worth a watch for the effort and concept.
