Mahavatar Narsimha is one of the most successful animated devotional films released this year. It became a big box-office hit.
The movie was first released in Kannada and later dubbed into other languages where it also received a blockbuster response. Surprisingly, the film even reached Karachi, Pakistan.
A special public screening was held at the Swami Narayan Mandir in Karachi where many people watched it. Even though Pakistan is mostly an Islamic country with few Hindu population the screening caught worldwide attention.
A video from the event is now going viral on social media. If this positive response continues more such films might be screened in Pakistan in the future.
No one expected an animated film to collect 300 crore, but Mahavatar Narsimha created huge records. It was also recently included in the Oscar nomination list.
This film is the first part of a seven-film animated series called the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe. Ashwin Kumar directed it, Kleem Productions produced it, and Hombale Films handled the distribution.
