Hombale Films, known for blockbuster hits like KGF and Kantara, has now taken a big step into animation with the announcement of the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe.
The production house, now one of India’s biggest, will make seven animated films based on the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu.
These films will be released over the next 12 years and are being made with huge budgets.
The first film, Mahavatar Narsimha, is set to release on July 25, 2025. A short teaser video was released along with the official announcement.
The rest of the films in the lineup include Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dwarkadhish (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), and Mahavatar Kalki in two parts- Part 1 in 2035 and Part 2 in 2037.
With this, Hombale Films aims to bring Indian mythology to life on a grand animated scale.
