Nag Ashwin debuted with Yevade Subrahmanyam with Nani as hero. He took a gap of two years to announce his next and surprised everyone by announcing that he will make a film on legendary actress Savitri’s life. He casted Keerthy Suresh as the legendary actress and Samantha Akkineni as the other lead who writes story of Savitri for generations to know about her and remember her. Keerthy Suresh won a National Award for her portrayal and even the film titled, Mahanati won National Award. Even better the movie became a huge box office success.
Now, Indian heartthrob Prabhas accepted a 400 crores budget sci-fi movie in the direction of Nag Ashwin. Deepika Padukone accepted to be part of the film. The shoot of the film could start in February or March of 2021. The director has been active on Twitter reacting to Film related news and gossips. He expressed his interest in watching films at theaters with masks on. He said that is time for even theatres to open as Malls, Temples, Bars, Restaurants, Trains, Metros, Flights have all started operations. He remarked that this time to move forward but not look back.
