Madras High Court Grants Relief To Director Shankar
The Madras High Court has temporarily halted the Enforcement Directorate (ED) from freezing director Shankar’s assets in connection with the ‘Enthiran‘ movie controversy.
Earlier the ED had frozen Shankar’s assets worth Rs. 11.10 crore over alleged financial irregularities linked to the blockbuster starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai.
However, the court ruled that since a private complaint in the case was already on hold freezing his assets was unnecessary.
This decision comes after Shankar filed a petition challenging the ED’s action. While the order offers temporary relief and further legal proceedings are expected, keeping the film industry closely watching the case.
