A couple of weeks back, Tamil star Vijay was asked to pay a Rs 1 lakh penalty by the Madras High Court for skipping tax for his imported costly car. Now, the latest one to join the list is hero Dhanush.
Reportedly, Dhanush filed a petition seeking entry tax exemption for his imported Rolls-Royce car which he brought almost a decade ago. Today, the case came to hearing before justice SM Subramanian. Sources confirm that instead of considering Dhanush’s request, the judge has asked Dhanush’s lawyer why the actor is seeking an exemption for the entry tax when he is earning cores of money through his profession. Apart from passing harsh comments, the court asked Dhanush’s lawyer to pay the taxes immediately. Obeying the judiciary verdict, will Dhanush pay his car’s entry tax? Remains to be seen.
On the professional front, apart from Tamil films, Dhanush has a trilingual project with Tollywood director Sekhar Kammula.
