Madhuri Dixit was about to get thrown out of a film for this reason

Madhuri Dixit once nearly lost her job because she refused to wear only linge*ie.

One of Bollywood’s most well-known and respected actresses, Madhuri Dixit is renowned for her versatility, stunning looks, incredible dancing abilities, and a smile worth a million dollars. She has been in numerous films during her career, but this particular time, after committing to the role of Amitabh Bachchan in Tinnu Anand’s 1989 film Shanakht, she regretted it. What had happened was as follows.

Known for collaborating with Amitabh Bachchan on films like Kaalia and Shahenshah, Tinnu Anand insisted that Madhuri wear a br* for a scene in Shanakht. Madhuri and Amitabh made their debut joint appearance on screen in this episode.

Now, actor-director Tinnu Anand discussed how their disagreement over a sequence from Shanakht caused a breach between them in a recent interview with Radio Nasha. He explained the scene by saying, “In the scene, the villain in that waggon has Amitabh chained up. He tries to defend Madhuri, but these thugs overwhelm him. Why are you beating a man in chains when a woman is there in front of you, Madhuri’s character asks. He even insisted that before casting Madhuri Dixit for the role, he had explained the entire situation to her.

Tinnu Anand recalled, “I had narrated the entire sequence to Madhuri and I told her that you have to remove your blouse and for the first time, we should see you in your bra. And I am not going to hide anything behind a haystack or anything. Because you are offering yourself to help a man who is trying to help you. So it is a very important situation and I want to shoot it on the first day. She said okay.” He further added, “I said you can design your bra, whatever you want. You don’t have to wear a bra bra but you can design your own bra, I don’t mind. But it has to be a bra because your are opening your blouse, offering yourself.”

Rewind to the shoot day. Tinnu had gone to check on Madhuri Dixit on the first day shooting the movie when she hadn’t arrived at the set for 45 minutes. She then remarked, “Tinnu, I don’t want to do this specific scene.” I apologised and added, “You must perform this scene.” ‘No, I don’t want to,’ she replied. I commanded, “Okay, pack up, and bid the movie farewell.” I’ll postpone my shoot,'” the director recalled.

In response to Big B’s perspective, the director had replied, “If she had to object, she should have done it earlier, before signing the film.” Later, Amitabh Bachchan also arrived to calm Tinnu down and resolve the argument. When Tinnu began to consider a replacement, Madhuri Dixit’s secretary appeared and promised him that she would comply with his demands.

But it was Madhuri Dixit and Tinnu Anand’s first and final joint project.
