MAD is a film that is special for many reasons. Some popular names are playing key roles and the film is backed by Sithara Entertainments. The film has been released today and let’s see how it is.

Story: MAD revolves around the lives of three inseparable companions: Manoj, Ashok, and Damodar. The narrative unfolds within the backdrop of their serendipitous union at an esteemed Engineering college. Within this academic journey, their adventures during their years of education, tales of romance, and occasional conflicts weave the fabric of the storyline.

Performances: Narne Nithin assumes the role of an intense figure who typically serves as the group’s leader. He steps in when their collective need arises, showcasing heroism when required. What sets him apart is his willingness to share the spotlight, allowing others their moments to shine. Sangeeth Shobhan, on the other hand, stands out as a standout performer within the ensemble. His portrayal of an introverted character hailing from a small town adds depth to the narrative. His impeccable timing contributes to the success of even the most absurd jokes. Ram Nithin in the role of the group’s charming ladies’ man, chased after every girl in the college was also good.

Technical Aspects: Bheema Ciciroleo’s musical contribution lacks any particularly memorable elements. The background score effectively complements the zany and uproarious humor of the film. Cinematography duties were shared by Shamdat and Dinesh Krishnan B, though there was room for improvement in this department. Naveen Nooli’s sharp editing adds a brisk and engaging pace to the storytelling. The screenplay is attuned to the sensibilities of the younger audience, but not all of its content lands successfully.

Analysis: There have been many films about the college, the atmosphere there, the friends, the hardships and sufferings. The film can be made by showing some difficulties and losses like happy days. Three Idiots law can also be fun to say the greatness of reading. The film has proved that the original comedy genres do not even need a link and logic. The same happens with MAD as well as it is wacky.

The director skillfully establishes the movie’s direction within the initial ten minutes, providing viewers with a clear sense of its trajectory. Set in an Engineering college, the story revolves around the bonds of friendship and conflicts among a group of characters. The narrative places a strong emphasis on humor, utilizing a series of gags to propel the story forward.

Consequently, the film takes us through various stages of college life, one after the other, all in pursuit of delivering entertainment. However, no real dramatic progress exists on the love stories threads opened at the interval point. Everything moves forward to a cliche and then is concluded via comedy. The one minor twist related to a character becomes a significant driving factor during the pre-climax, and it ends well.

Verdict: On the whole, MAD is a very organic comedy that does not beat around the bush. It will remind you of your college days and has some great fun moments. Just do not look for the logic and enjoy this youthful drama.

Bottom Line: Organic Comedy

Rating: 3/5
