Salman Khan’s upcoming film Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace is facing uncertainty about its release. The war drama which was first planned for April and later June, is now delayed due to some issues.
Many reports say the film has not yet been sent to the censor board and the team is still deciding the next steps.
The film was based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between India and China. But after the teaser received criticism especially from Chinese media the makers were advised to remove direct references to China and the incident without fail.
Later the film was renamed Maatrubhumi and its focus was changed more towards family emotions and relationships.
Some war scenes are still there, but the main conflict is now unclear, making the release timeline uncertain.
