Shweta Menon is one actress who made a name for herself by predominantly acting in Malayalam movies. Many of them know her all over South India due to her films that have been dubbed in several languages. She also acted in Dorasani role in Rajanna. Apart from that her bold movies with raunchy sex scenes and hot songs like Rathi Nirvedam also gained a serious reputation and fan following.
Her choice to be part of strong women centric films and acting in those B grade films too made her a controversy queen. Her decision to live record baby birth was also been quite in the news. Now she is coming back after taking a gap of few years on the screen again. She chatted with a famous english daily and made it clear that she would love to be part raunchy films.
Her latest film with Adil Hussain, Naval enna Jewel, has her playing a woman who pretends to be a man. Talking about this interesting film she revealed that her role in the movie will be that of a 12 years old young woman who got married to a 65 year old business man and gives birth to a child at the age of 14. As she is growing she has to take care of her child too. Unfortunately her husband dies and she in order to cope up with the loss and being a single mother at an young age decides to dress up as a man to protect herself and her girl child.
The movie deals with young kids being married to old men for money and also how difficult it is to cope for a single woman and parent in this male chauvinist society. Shweta said that she was happy to be a part of a movie that has a socially relevant message and if someone brings her a script with more raunchy scenes than Rathi Nirvedam she would love to be a part of it.
