Few directors and producers take a liking to a particular star or an actor. They keep trying to find out a way to work with them in every film. Vijaya Bapineedu belongs to that category.
Vijaya Bapineedu formed a great relationship with Megastar Chiranjeevi when he started out as a hero and continued it and helped the image to grow, as well. He started a magazine, Chiranjeevi for the star fans and then became a producer.
He turned into a director with Maga Maharaju and made films with Krishna, Sobhan Babu, and Chiranjeevi. He made most with Chiranjeevi. Maga Maharaju, Maharaju, Khaidi No. 786, Gangleader became huge hits. Bigg Boss became a huge disaster and Bapineedu stopped making films.
He passed away on 12th February and Chiranjeevi said, “I lost a friend today. He helped me while relocating to Hyderabad by giving his guest house to live and he used to make films only with me. My fans loved the way he treated them and he did celebrate Gangleader 100 days function in four cities on the same day. He always used to come up with unique ideas and I hope his family finds the strength to recuperate from this loss!”
