Puri Jagannadh has become such a director who will be addressed by many as a director who once used to be highly talented and delivered big hits. None of his recent films except for Temper have been profitable ventures. After Temper, Puri made Jyothi Lakshmi with Charmee, Loafer with Varun Tej and ISM with Kalyanram. There is a Kannada Telugu Bilingual introducing a big industrialist’s son as hero, Rogue, which no one knows when it will see the light of the day. Puri Jagannadh has no one but himself to be blamed for this development as even after giving disasters like Nenu Naa Rakshasi, Ek Niranjan, Devudu Chesina Manushulu still he got chances to work with big actors like Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan and Junior NTR.

While he successfully have hits with Mahesh Babu and Jr. NTR. His movies with Allu Arjun, Iddarammayilatho, Nithiin Heart Attack and Pawan Kalyan, Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu became flops to disasters.Once a director that all the heroes wished to work with at least once, has now shown the door and none of them are willing to work with him. Even Jr. NTR who had plans to work with the director is said to thinking twice after watching ISM. All his three previous films looked really lazy and highly amateurish attempts that lacked fire and conviction of old Puri that many love. In fact, distributors did a public protest against the director claiming for the losses acquired post Loafer release. Now, again ISM became a talking point and distributors are asking the producers NTR arts for some compensation.

NTR arts, had a disaster in Kick 2 previous year and many distributors got some compensation when they approached Jr. NTR and they are asking same from the actor again for ISM. The movie was sold at 26 crores and distributors are claiming a loss of at least 10 crores. Apparently, the actor did meet the distributors and listened to their version of the issue and is contemplating on the solution it seems. The distributors have asked for a compensation of at least half of the amount that they lost in the gamble. Soon the actor will have another meeting regarding the issue and will try to solve it in an amicable way it seems. The next film of the actor is said to be produced by NTR arts, so will the distributors get discounts? Well, only time will tell.
