Lord Ram aka Arun Govil Talks About his Upcoming Film on Ram Janmbhoomi!

The well-known actor Arun Govil, who portrayed Lord Ram in the venerable television program “Ramayan,” is prepared for his next film about the Ram Janmabhoomi campaign.

95 percent of the filming for Arun Govil’s film about the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, mysteriously titled “Six Nine Five (6,9,5),” which examines the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, has been completed. Arun Govil is best known for playing Lord Ram in the renowned 1987–1988 TV drama “Ramayan” and in two other mythological serials following that.

Govil suggests scheduling the movie’s debut for the day of Ayodhya’s official dedication of the Ram Temple. Most recently appeared in the online series “Jubilee,” in which he played a Karachi movie theatre owner forced to go to Mumbai as a result of Partition.

Govil portrays a “sadhu” in the movie “Six Nine Five (6,9,5)” who dedicates his life to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and watches it grow through time.

The three dates that Govil believes to be the most important for the Ram Janmabhoomi movement are the following: the Babri Masjid was demolished on December 6, 1992; the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Ram Janmabhoomi on November 9, 2019; and Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the cornerstone for the new temple on August 5, 2020. These dates serve as the inspiration for the movie.

The real-life Ayodhya locations used for the filming of “Six Nine Five (6,9,5)” include Hanuman Garhi, Dashrath Mahal, Digambar Akhada, Ram Ki Paidi, Guptar Ghat, Raj Ghat, and Jhunki Ghat.

The actor said that during filming at areas connected to Lord Ram, several cast members became upset.

Govil recalled: “It is not an easy film and portraying the real truth and emotions on camera at the real location was cathartic. The storyline and the shooting experience has been very emotional, to be honest.”

He said the film will take viewers back to “the past of the Ram Janmabhoomi and the struggle for it in Ayodhya”. Govil added: “I firmly believe it is high time we should know about our history.”

Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, commented on the project and shared Govil’s concerns. He said: “People need to be made aware of the truth about our history, and if the movie truly aims to do that, I would love to lend my support to it. When I first heard the narrative, I let the filmmakers know I would be happy to support the movie and offer any assistance that was needed.”

Along with them, Govind Namdev, Akhilendra Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari, and Gajendra Chauhan play major roles in the movie. Later this year, Yogesh Bharadwaj’s movie, which is also co-produced by Rajneesh Berry and Shyam Chawla, will be released in theatres across the country.
