In Telugu Film Industry, new movies and directors are quite a rarity these days. Even though there are many being introduced with every other film on Friday, but the real new stories and films are commonly becoming extinct as we speak with not many producers to support them. They are either sticking to same old formula or trying to replicate the film that has worked earlier. Abhishek Pictures the new distributor and production who are taking over the Telugu Film Industry slowly step by step, are looking to produce and support good films that they believe work in the public eye.
They have supported, Prakash Raj’s Mana Oori Ramayanam and helped him to release it for Dussehra. In many movies, that are looking for their support, Abhishek Nama, decided to support the movie, Chitrangada. The movie has been long in production and delayed for release as they were no takers for this Anjali starrer. Even though Anjali proved to be a successful heroine with the success of Githanjali her other movies have failed and the movies featuring lady oriented subjects.
After several movies that have flopped even distributors are not highly interested in investing on her movie. Chitrangada, the movie was directed by Ashok.G, Pilla Zamindar fame. Even though with Pilla Zamindar he became famous, his next Sukumarudu bombed at the box office not helping his cause. So now the movie will get a release supported by Abhishek pictures.
