After the success of Vikram, Lokesh Kanagaraj‘s career took a major leap and he has worked with stars like Rajinikanth and Vijay.
His next film Coolie is an action drama featuring Rajinikanth in the lead role. While promoting his next Lokesh made a bold comment about Rajini and Kamal Haasan.
He said that once Coolie releases people will understand why Rajinikanth can’t do a film like Vikram and why Kamal can’t do a film like Coolie. Though confident, the statement is sensitive as it involves two legendary actors.
Lokesh clarified that Coolie is a standalone film and not part of his Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). He also shared that he once planned a villain role for Rajinikanth, but later felt it would delay things and didn’t want to waste Rajini sir’s valuable time.
Coolie is set to release on August 14th, produced by Sun Pictures.
