Lisa Ray in RGV’s Veerappan

As Ram Gopal Varma decides to remake his film Veerappan in Hindi, the casting process has begun and the film is even in the shooting stage. Actress Lisa Ray has joined the film’s crew and and is playing a key role in the film.
Lisa will be seen reprising Parul Yadav’s role from the original of a middle class dare devil girl who was a key link in the capture of the sandalwood smuggler Veerappan. She will be seen in a completely deglamourous avatar and will have a lot of scooty riding to do. In fact, in process of shoot, the actress apparently even hurt herself.
Speaking about her character in the film, the actress shared, “I read about the Veerappan in the ‘90s, not a day would pass by when the papers didn’t carry something about him. And when Ramu approached me with his story I was fascinated and immediately came on board.”
Sachiin Joshi produces the film under Vikiing Media and Entertainment banner.
