Mahesh Babu has become a Superstar in Telugu Cinema after debuting as the son of Natasekhara, Superstar Krishna in 1999, with Rajakumarudu. He ever since, is referred as Prince Mahesh Babu and slowly with super hits and Industry Hits like Okkadu, Murari, Pokiri, Dookudu he earned the Superstar tag too. He is the most loved actor in Telugu Cinema on par with Pawan Kalyan.
Now, the actor decided to do a bilingual with Tamil director, AR Murugadoss and he is a renowned director in Telugu and Hindi as well as he made Ghajini, Thuppakki and many more. As these coming together, they have decided to make a Spy thriller and named it, SPYder. The audio of the movie has been launched both in Tamil and Telugu in Chennai last night. To the function, actor Vishal has come and many others have sent welcome bits to the actor. All of them wished the actor a grand welcome and Ar. Murugadoss expressed lot of confidence on his movie.
A.R. Murugadoss said, “I saw Mahesh Babu’s film in Vijayawada ten years ago and the euphoria captured my imagination. I wanted to do a film with him back then and now it happened. I’m thankful to my producers for this opportunity. I have never seen any actor who is so passionate for film like Mahesh Babu. After Aamir Khan, it is only him who told me that he will give another 10 days or 15 days if I needed. He even asked me to write any extra scenes if I wish to, and he is ready to work for this film like that. All the credit for Spyder success should go to him and him only. I wanted to re-make Ghajini and Thuppakki with him in Telugu but I’m making a straight film that to his debut in Tamil, that makes me even proud and responsible. This movie will be a blockbuster and it will also bring National Award to my action director, Peter Hein”
Rakul Preet Singh, the lead actress said, “I always wanted to work with Mahesh Babu ever since, I landed in Hyderabad and with him it is like I have worked in two films now, as we shot everything twice in two languages. This is a great experience and I would like to work with Mahesh Babu any number of times, I took inspiration from how he handles his family life and how disciplined he is during work.”
Mahesh spoke in Tamil and fans erupted with him taking the mic. He said, “I’m debuting in Tamil with this film. I’m nervous, shaking and praying for the movie like I did for my first film in Telugu some 17 years ago. The feeling is exciting. I liked working with Murugadoss and all the team of Spyder. When he is narrating the story, Murugadoss told me the movie will be 2 hrs 25 minutes long and will have trendy action sequences and he made exactly the same film that he promised to me in the one hour we first discussed about the story. I should thank Santosh Sivan sir, Peter Hein and Harris Jayraj for all the hard work they have put in. My fans will really enjoy this movie and I’m looking forward to another movie with Murugadoss and hope it happens soon enough. My producers Tagore Madhu and NV Prasad never flinched an eye even though the production cost has gone up to 120 crores and that is the highest budget for any of my films. I should thank them for trusting me so much and making me a part of this dream!”
Harris Jayraj shared that he wanted to do a film with Mahesh Babu ever since he worked for Mani Sharma as an assistant during his debut film and being a composer for his debut in Tamil makes him proud. Lyca Productions, Ramalingam shared that Rajni praised the look of Mahesh Babu from the film.
