Leo Director Lokesh Kanagaraj to Quit Films ?

In a recent interview, Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is now collaborating with Thalapathy Vijay on Leo, discussed leaving the film business.

On Leo, Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is presently collaborating with Thalapathy Vijay, made a startling admission. After ten films, the director declared he will call it quits. He added that he started working as a director in order to try his hand at film. On social media, his message is currently trending.

Lokesh Kangaraj reportedly stated in a special interview that he will stop acting in films after completing 10 projects. “I have no plans to do a lot of films in my career,” the director was quoted as adding. I just left to try the movies. I like to have faith in the producers and all actor lovers because LCU Concept is only possible with their assistance. I’ll do 10 flicks and then stop!

One of the most well-known and respected directors in the South Indian cinema industry is Lokesh Kanagaraj. In just six years since making his directorial debut in 2017, he has carved out a place for himself in the elite league and collaborated with a number of well-known actors, including Thalapathy Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Kamal Haasan, and others. He made his feature film directing debut with the hyperlink movie Maanagaram, but he gained notoriety and praise with his subsequent Karthi – starrer Kaithi. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Following Kaithi, he directed the action-drama Master, starring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, which went on to become 2021’s highest-grossing movie. He subsequently went on to direct the hugely successful Vikram, which starred Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil. Additionally, he founded the Lokesh Cinematic Universe series with his 2019 and 2022 films Kaithi and Vikram.

Leo, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming project featuring Thalapathy Vijay, is now in production. According to reports, the movie is a gangster drama that is a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), an action-crime thriller universe created by director Lokesh Kanagaraj. After the huge success of Master, this is the actor-director team’s second on-screen collaboration.

The project’s female lead will be Trisha Krishnan. With this movie, popular Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt will make his Tamil film debut as the main antagonist. Cast members of the project include Mansoor Ali Khan, Arjun Das, and actor-director Gautham Vasudev Menon, among others. For the project, Anirudh Ravichander is writing songs and original compositions.
